Our mini unit on Community Helpers will be wrapping up this week. Today we made fold out communities and talked about the distinguishing characteristics that differentiate the buildings in our community.
The children also listed some things that they like to do and some things that they are good at, then we looked at those lists and chose 3 jobs each that fit those characteristics. Xavier's three jobs were fire fighter, MoDOT mechanic (worker), and police officer. Natalee's three jobs were librarian, mommy, and teacher. Very interesting to think about where those characteristics of being helpful, a good reader, etc. might take them in life!
