Fire and Police Department Field Trip

This Saturday I planned a homeschool field trip to the police and fire stations in a larger nearby town.  We had five families who were able to participate and I think the kids had a great time and learned a bit (always a plus).

The Police Station:
Mike was in charge of the camera.
My jailbirds in the police car!

Between tours we picniced at a park.  It was WINDY!  The children had fun despite and the moms sat in a van with our babies.

The Fire Department:
This tour lasted way longer than it was "supposed" to because we were all having such a great time.  The fire crew was so generous to let the kids touch and try out things and to answer all sorts of questions!
Xavier could have stayed in the truck all day!
(Mia was with us - in my sling.  Apparently we stayed behind the camera.)
A fun day that ended with new phones for mom and dad from the cell phone store and some groceries.  The best part was spending the day together!
