Field Trip to Boone Railway

We took a field trip to Boone railway with our HSAP group and got a beautiful day to be on the historical train.  We crossed over the river, saw a few leaves starting to change, and enjoyed the company of good friends along the way.

The kids especially enjoyed the open air outdoor train cars and it was a beautiful day for them.
Most of the homeschool group went to hike at Ledges State Park afterwards.  The Beelers have had a long, hard few weeks and we opted to head home instead.  It's hard to miss out but it was the right choice for us.

Homecoming Parade 2026

The last couple of years the Beeler crew has had fun participating in the Homecoming parade with our HSAP group.  I was supposed to help with that again this year, but I was recovering from being sick and Mia was on the couch with a bungled arm, so parade night looked a little different for us this year.  My dear friends and co-workers covered my duty as a parade chaperone.  Natalee walked with the high school swim team as a Senior swimmer, Zayden watched the parade with Mike, and Xavier and Evie ended up walking with HSAP.
Mia and I were so thankful Mike streamed the parade for us.  I was also grateful for the photos people shared with me.

Mia and I's view...
Thankful always for community.

Aquatic Center Grand Opening

Our family got to be a part of history in the making by taking part in the grand opening ceremonies for our YMCA's new Aquatic area.
It's been a long journey to get to this point and it was a much celebrated day.  Tip of the hat to the aquatic director, Alex, for every ounce of hard work she poured in to helping the community get to this day.

United States Semiquincentennial (July 4, 2026)

Happy 250th birthday, America!
You're a bit of a mess, but so am I sometimes.  We still believe in the design of this nation and are happy to be patriots who celebrate our identity in Christ first, and our country second.
2 Chronicles 7:14 -
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

We discovered a few years ago that we have a perfect view of the city fireworks display from our front yard and so the word is spreading and this year we had a yard full of cheer, which filled my heart up.  We got out the sno cone machine and enjoyed the evening.
Art work by Mia - our front walk is not curved but "panoramic" photo made it curve.  (shrug)
octoball pit and spikeball saw some action....

Our friends are in town!!  Xavier met these boys 4 years ago and we are so happy to see them when they come from Colorado each year!
throwback... 2022; same order - Cade, Xavier, Quinn

activities from our afternoon as a family and a few fireworks videos (because I can't resist)

The fireworks were beautiful and plenty loud even from the house!
