Just because you're Baby #4 doesn't mean that you shouldn't get a little something new and special.
I actually started knitting this blanket when I was a few weeks away from delivering Ameliya. I had made her a purple one because I was sure she was a girl...but then my mind started in over my heart and I began one that could be more "boyish."
I did about 1/3 of it and left it on the needles. After Ameliya came I thought maybe I'd finish it and give it as a gift, but the first year of her life flew and it sat there. When I decided to make something for our special #4 I looked for different yarn, however I LOVED this turquoise color and couldn't find anything I liked more. However, I didn't want Baby 4 to get "leftovers" and so, being the silly that I am, I unwound the ENTIRE blanket and started fresh. Crazy, I know, but it feels so right.
So...I knit. Mike works an evening shift 1-2 nights a week so while I sit up waiting for him to get home I knit.
Tonight while I knitted I prayed for a couple of people needing lifted up and thought about Baby #4's name. I think Mike and I have settled on a first name...we told our immediate families yesterday and no one fell on the "love" wagon. Mike was bummed but I kind of saw it coming. That's okay...no one fell on the love wagon with Xavier's name either and now we can't imagine calling him anything else.
While I was thinking tonight, though, I actually fell in love with a double first name and then a middle name. Four names. Oh man! Just when we thought the Beelers couldn't get any weirder (wink). I have to run it by Mike - he might not be on the "love wagon" with 4 names but he has kind of fallen on my love wagon so he might be able to be convinced. He he. I might be able to get him on board with this if I let go of wanting to use "Tallman" as a middle name. {play your cards!}
Anyways...all the baby naming aside...
I can't help but thinking how sweet this blankie will look next to the outfit we chose for our baby reveal.
Waiting for you, Baby Boy. We love you already!
