Vacation Day 2 - Travel + Arrival

Day 2 of our vacation brought the remainder of our travel to North Dakota.  We started the day with a swim in the hotel pool, because, well why not, right?  Zayden and I opted out this round.
After many steps up to the slide for Mike (running to get both Mia and Xavier their turns) Mike and I finally convinced Xavier to go down by himself and let Mike catch him.  The lifeguard was young and seem either respectful or indifferent to our ability to know our kids' limits so he allowed Mike to take all 3 kids up, ride down with Mia, then Natalee went, and then Mike would be ready to turn around and catch Xavier.  Xavier wasn't allowed to go down with his puddle jumper on without being on Mike's lap (lest it get caught) and so this required quite a bit of bravery on his part.  After he did it once he was ready to go many more times!
We ate breakfast at the hotel, checked out, and headed on our way.  I made a mandatory nap time in the van - swimming makes for good travel sleeping!
We arrived to my uncles' houses at around 5 - in good time to visit and eat before bed.  Unfortunately, with 2 hours left to travel, Mia peed in her car seat, and then she had another accident after we got there, so our arrival brought with it some chaos, a car seat needing stripped down, and a little girl who needed bathed.

I don't take for granted one bit the time we get to spend in ND.  It's never enough and it always goes too fast.

We all fell into bed in the camper way too late (it stays dark a long time in ND!) but filled up with hugs and loves after a long journey!
