Week in the Life {Mom's Still Sick, Outside Play, Daily Devotions}

 Sunday, November 29th

After a couple of days of feeling really good, I was back down on Sunday and stayed home to rest while Mike took our masked bandits to church. Evie napped while I rested.

Monday, November 30th
I went back to the walk in clinic for a second time, still feeling pretty crummy.  These ladies working out in the cold screening everyone who enters the facility are the real MVPs.
chili for supper - this girl is an adventurous eater!

Tuesday, December 1st
Baby in buffalo plaid...cuteness overload.
Natalee working hard with Whitney at physical therapy.
Any day the weather is decent we get outside for at least a bit.  Evie could live out there, though she's not sure why the gloves and thick coats are exactly necessary.
Learning to look at paper books.
Ruby likes the nativity.  She also likes to get in and turn them all over.
My favorite part of turkey day leftovers!!  I love pot pie so much.  The kids do not.  Except Natalee.  We are the same person pretty much.
Dec 1 means the first day of our advent devotionals
This is our 4th year doing the Jesse Tree with Unwrapping the Greatest Gift and our first year for an additional devotional, Jotham's Journey.  I felt like it was time to give our older kids a bit more to think about during our devotion time, but we're all enjoying it very much.
Evie got to put on the first Jesse Tree ornament.

Wednesday, December 2nd
The kids made our Christmas cards to send with the photos we printed this year.  They got out stamps and drew and enjoyed being crafty.
After a week of quarantining while we waited for my covid test (negative), Natalee was ready to be back on Chief.
We discovered that Evie likes salad with ranch!
But also, pumpkin bars.
A sweet moment of big brother reading to the others.

Thursday, December 3rd
Crazy hair
My little pupils hard at work!
Such a cheeky monkey.

Friday, December 4th
We caught Evie writing on the wall with a pencil so we got out the water mat.  It only holds her attention semi decently.  Sigh.  She's such a challenge.
Evie's calling Papa on her Jesus phone.  The baby Jesus figure from the wooden nativity.

Saturday, December 5th
Evie's new trick.  So special.
The kids painted stained glass window art to give to a friend, and then their cousins came to play.  It was a lovely day outside and we enjoyed the sunshine as much as possible.
Oskaloosa had a small scale version of their lighted Christmas parade in reverse, so we loaded up with hot chocolate and drove the kids over to see the few floats that had entered, and then came home for showers and devotions.
