Beeler Birthday Celebrations

We gathered to celebrate Kea, Mike and Ameliya's birthdays at Phil and Sara's last Saturday.  It's always fun to all be together!
We brought Adelyn a little Easter treat and these Usborne cards were in it.  They were a hit with all the "babies."
 Supper time for sir Zayden.
This little turkey!  Auntie Jenn loves her!
Grandma Betty likes to nab the babies. :)
 Sugar.
Birthday girls!
 and birthday cookies!

Ameliya got to open birthday presents!
 money!
Minnie Mouse helmet from Granny and Papa!
And her own scooter from Kea, Miguel and AJ.  She liked Papa to push her...
... but she could make it go on her own!
Mommy scolded Ameliya about something and she sought refuge in Grandma Betty.
Uncle Mike loves this little girl, too.
I hate it when I don't get pics of my big kids at a family event.  Oops!  They were there but likely too busy to be bothered with my camera.
Happy 2nd to Ameliya, 31st to Kea, and 35th to my honey bun!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Ameliya Darby!

Our sweet, sweet baby girl is two whole years old!
The night before her birthday she came down with the flu.  Thankfully, just a general run of the mill tummy bug - no fever - but vomiting and upset tummy.  I wasn't sure how she'd feel on her birthday so I'd decided we'd celebrate another day.  However, she woke up at 10 a.m. on her birthday and when I said, "good morning, it's your birthday!" she replied with "cookies brekast?"  Since Daddy was going to be home the morning of her birthday instead of the evening we'd told her we would do cookies for breakfast.  She remembered!  So, even though she looked a little peaked, we tested the waters with some crackers and when those stayed down we let her have a birthday cookie.

She was very excited about her birthday presents and her older siblings were very excited to give them to her.  Natalee wanted to get her a Doc McStuffins set that specifically had Chilly and Halle in it, and they were well received!
Xavier wanted desperately to get her a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so we found one on Amazon and it is pretty sweet and not overwhelming in size.
Mommy and daddy helped secure the gifts from big brother and sister and also gave our dolly a baby doll Ergo carrier.
We had intended to get her a tricycle and then some friends were selling a nice one so we decided to buy it and then they gifted it to our dolly.  {Thank you!} Since she wasn't quite up to par we have decided to wait until she feels great to get it out and show her how to use it.
Overall, I think the princess had a good day.  She got macaroni and cheese (with hamburger snuck in) for lunch, and ate it pretty well.
After lunch she had a rest.  Nannie and Vance (Colby & Emma) had sent her an Amazon gift card and online birthday card so that she could buy a video to watch since she was sick on her birthday.
She loved the birthday card!
She dozed off partway through her show, which was good for recovery.
Grandma Num stopped by and brought her a big bag of look and find books - she loves the bag and has toted it around the last two days.

She also got to talk to Papa Curtis on the phone.
All she could say she wanted for supper was "samwich" which is a peanut butter and jelly and "bips" chips.  She really didn't eat much of her supper and actually ended up getting sick in the night again - but we're thankful she had a decent-ish birthday regardless!
After a scrub in the tub she called daddy to say goodnight.
Granny Sara stopped by for a birthday kiss and that pretty much made a full day!
Beautiful girl, we love you so much.  We're thankful for you every single day.  Happy happy birthday, Tator Tot!

The Easter Message...

We're really incredibly blessed.  We love you, our sweet children.
I was reminded in our worship message today that life is very short, but eternity is long. This thought is actually why I do what I do everyday.  This year I've really gotten caught up on the math, reading and academics of our schooling and not focused as much on the Biblical training of our children.  Academics are important, don't get me wrong, but if I teach my children to read and write and succeed only in this life, but don't ensure that they know and love Jesus then we've failed.
So,
for her...
 for him...
 and this one...
 and that one...
For these four we'll do it again and again...the diapers, the training, the snuggles, the meals, the laundry, the love....we'll do it everyday so that these four and anyone else we come in contact with might know the love of Jesus and be able to spend eternity with Him.  Shine in us, Lord.

{The boys were photogenic today - the girls weren't too interested in any photos beyond what I made them take...}

God bless you, friends.  From our family to yours, may you know the love and hope of Jesus.  This life on earth is short, just a small chunk of time, but eternity is forever...accept His gift and be certain of where you'll spend it.
