Happy 55th, Dad!

We had a fun, casual, regularly crazy family get-together this weekend to celebrate my Dad turning 55 on the 16th of July.  As we grow and {age} we're becoming more relaxed and more appreciative of our time together (or maybe that's just me).

Xavier INSISTED on dressing up with a tie for Papa's party.  He wore it until he was drenched in sweat playing outside and I made him take it off.
Xabe loves all of Papa's farm "toys" - his little (big) vehicles he uses to chore and check cows.

Just relaxin' pre-food...
The reason my kids look like motley crew in the rest of the pics - their clothes got wet.
Shrimp boil for supper!!  Yum!  My mom knows how to throw a party!
Emma was in charge of candles.
He got 'em all in one breath!
She doesn't joke about dessert - ice cream with homemade chocolate sauce.
 Love this view...
An attempt at "posed" pictures (ha):

 He's a lucky fella!
Dad, while many days we don't know what to do with you, more often we don't know what we'd do without you.  Thanks for all you do - the little moments and the big ones that you pick us up and help us back to the right path.  Happy 55th, and many more to come.  Love you!
