Summerlicious

Sweet, sweet summertime...

...When you have to bathe your children every night to find their cherub faces, unlike winter when you have to bathe them because you can't remember when the last time you did so was! :) (Joking - we have scheduled winter bath nights - wink.)

...when you can smell the sunshine in their hair.

...when sweat, water, sand, grassy feet, and dirty fingernails are a part of daily life.

...when Mom has to drag herself indoors to fix supper at night, hating to leave the fun.

Sweet summertime, you are so dear to us...

 Our servant hearted baby girl.

Poor Kira had to come out to play.  She finally relinquished her to Mommy's care.
Days like today I feel triply blessed to have been able to build our backyard over the last 6 years for our kids...swings, dual slides, merry go round, sand, trampoline, etc...It's truly an extension of our living space and, though I know I sometimes lament about wanting to be outdoors, we are so fortunate that they have such an oasis to play in!
