A newborn baby...

And feel the pride, and joy she gives...

But greater still...

That calm assurance...

This child can face uncertain days because He lives!

I hummed this verse of In the Garden (http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/b/bill_gaither/because_he_lives.html) all day yesterday, rejoicing over our new niece, Adelyn Jewel. How thankful we are for her safe delivery, for her precious self, for God's answer to many prayers. He is faithful.

Natalee was uncertain but warmed up.  

Ameliya was not having any of the celebration. 

 (they told me I wasn't the baby anymore)

But Xavier, he washed his hands when we first arrived all on his own so he could get his hands on Adelyn.

 

 

Uncle Mike is smitten and Aunt Jenn is especially in love with her petite features and her hair.

 

 

  

Well done, Kea and Miguel! Welcome to parenthood. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll find whole new levels of exhaustion but it's a gift and every minute is worth it.

We got home and Xavier said, "It was a big day!"

Indeed it was.  One for the memory books.

  

 

 

 

We topped it with late night pizza - perfect ending to a perfect day!
