Senses and Bible Work

Our bodies got heads this week!  We now have senses and can see, smell, hear and taste!  It's not creepy at all to walk down the stairwell and have these very big blue eyes looking at you!
The children took their own pictures of their heads for me.

Talking about the senses this week has been fun.  We tried feeling things with our eyes closed, practiced listening with our eyes closed, and discussed the 4 types of taste (bitter, sour, sweet and salty).  This topic has led to lots of discussion outside the "learning table."

The children are also learning to navigate their Bibles, not only during the specified Bible study hour, but also during History and Science.  I really want them to understand that it all (it = everything we should care about) ties back to the Word.

{Someday maybe I'll get myself together enough to just post one big weekly wrap up about our adventures in schooling, but as it is that would be too much for me to think about in one setting so right now you'll just have to take the snippets as they come!}
