Wild Weekend

Our weekend wasn't really that wild.
Today we visited a church and worshiped, then came home for lunch and to play outside and soak up another sunny day.  We walked a couple blocks to a nearby park and let the kids play for a half hour before dark.
The big kids took turns taking Ev down the small slide.
Ev also tried out swinging in a big swing for the first time!
My people...
After our walk, we came home and ran the kids through the shower.  After supper, we decided to get out the Christmas tree.
Ev with her first Christmas ornament.
Zayden and I tried to get that star on the top but in the end Daddy had to help.  It touches the ceiling.  I *told* Mike the ceilings in our old house were taller (wink).

Looking up at the lights...
Pretty!

Daddy loves it when Ev sleeps with her hands clasped like this.

Yesterday we cleaned house and then Mike arranged for his folks to come up and watch the oldest four while we went out for a date {with Ev}.  We hit the grocery store first (what's a date without Aldi?), then went to see the new movie Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, hit a Chinese restaurant for supper, and then home to relieve the grandparents.

Mia took this when I was getting Ev dressed Saturday.
Weekends that we don't go "home" are hard but nice because it feels like we have so much time and get so much done.
