Our Wild Sam turned FOUR on November 9th. He adds so much chaos fun to our days. He's loud and can tune into his play like no child I have ever met in my life. He knows what he likes but is usually up for a new adventure. He loves to have fun and he loves to be near his people. He loves visiting extended family and friends and is really good at forming personal relationships with people, even at his young age. He's quick as a whip with humor and is book smart to boot, but sitting still is his very biggest challenge. He almost always has something in his pocket to help keep himself out of trouble and keep his hands busy. He plays HARD and loves HARD and lives LOUD and we LOVE him so very very much.
Since we live in a town with stores, I let Zayden come along and pick out his requested birthday donuts with me.
Mama also bought bacon, because #protein.
On these one special days a year, mommy tries not to be *so* choosy, so he got to pick the one with sprinkles in the case, even though they weren't dye free.
Hy-Vee had strategically placed the character juices next to the donut case. Well played, Hy-Vee.
After we had donuts and bacon, he opened a couple of presents and then some friends came by and we visited for a bit. They were dropping off their tractor, because Papa and Grandma were bringing up the swing set and play house later!
Zayden was a very gracious gift opener.
Big brother gave Zayden his favorite watch that he hasn't been wearing because he wears his fitness band now. -warm heart-
I do think he was wondering where the only thing he'd truly asked for was - a Bumblebee Transformer like Theo's.
After our friends left, he finished opening his last couple of presents. A Buzz costume....
He's so stinking cute.
And, finally, the long awaited Bumblebee...

Then Grandma and Papa arrived with the trailer full of yard toys and friends came to help unload. The swing set coming made for a happy birthday boy. The weather was lovely compared to what we had been having so he played hard outside.
When they were all done outside, Papa said let's find ice cream, so we did!
Then Grandma and Papa headed home, and we went home to wind down our night with supper, baths, and, of course, singing one more time.

Is there anything sweeter than the glow of birthday candles reflecting on a kid's face?
A little play time and one episode of Transformers on Netflix and then it was bed for this big 4 year old!
He watches TV like a comfy old dude.
We love you Z Sam. You're our favoritest 4 year old in this house.
The day after Zayden's birthday, Grammy and Papa came to visit and see the birthday boy. The kids went to Wal Mart and window shopped with Grammy and Papa while Daddy grocery shopped and everyone came home with big stories!

We had lunch at my folks' last Sunday and Zayden said, "should this be for my birthday!?" Ha.
DOUBLE BONUS...This 4 year old home slice at church on Sunday couldn't have been any cuter.
