Unstoppable

Our newest reader is proving to be unstoppable.  Yesterday he read four books.  He begged and asked to "read this and then this..."

What joy to open these worlds to him, to show him he is capable, and to watch him get excited about literature!

 

Pirate Pat was an especially fun book!  It's part of an Usborne series called the Very First Reading Set.  I love that it's a dual reader - there is a "parent read" page and then a child read page.  Having the extra parent read pages really adds a lot to the story line.
