New Year's Eve

We spent New Year's Eve doing life, with a few twists.  Mike broke in his new smoker that he got from my folks for Christmas.
The kids kept him company as he went in and out.  Ameliya's idea of playing in the snow is getting bundled up and staying on the porch!
I even bundled Zayden Samuel up and sent him out with a big blanket to get a little sun on his face for a few minutes!

Mike smoked a very good brisket.  We all liked it but Ameliya couldn't get enough.  She had four large servings and ate them all before she even touched anything else on her plate.
She's pointing, telling me she needs MORE.

After supper we had a small gathering at Mike's folks' house to ring in the new year.  Shortly after we arrived at 8:15ish, Natalee went to find a bed - she is NO party animal!  Ameliya made it an hour longer before I put her beside her sister and she curled and went to sleep.  Zayden snoozed the evening away, also.  Xavier, our night owl, made it to the new year and seemed a little disheartened that the midnight hour wasn't more exciting!
The rest of us played games until midnight.  Lots of laughs!
Our cute little niece, Adelyn, also has the party animal gene and made it to midnight!
