Our Week in Review

Another good week in the books.  Some random snapshots of our activities:

Monday:
So much good reading.  I love weeks filled with great literature!  This week we get to start 101 Dalmatians!
Xavier found his bathrobe and spent a lot of time with it over his clothes.  Cutie.
Our study of the planets continues and is met with MUCH anticipation each day!
Natalee read Cora Frear.  What a great book!  We couldn't put it down and ended up finishing it ahead of schedule - oops!
Ameliya kept busy - everyday a little more of her babyhood slips away and is replaced with this big girl.
She's getting so much better at independent play.  It's very fun to watch and listen to her.

Tuesday:
Ameliya discovered nail filing - she's a fan of being "fancy."
 Blanket time...

Wednesday:
Xavier put on a button down shirt for J.A.M. on Wednesday.  I thought it made him look like quite a scholar.
Growing another reader...

At J.A.M. we had a candlelight prayer time for our little buddy, Stryker, a baby who is a few months younger than Ameliya that is fighting a battle with cancer.

Thursday:

Friday:
The kids got out magnifying glasses to play super science explorers.  I love them.
Ameliya is turning on her oven.  Such a growing imagination!
Ameliya is talking more and more.  However, some of it's not quite our English.  It struck me as hilarious the other night when I realized her version of juice sounds exactly like booze.  Her manners also need refined, as she's a demanding little tyrant, so when she holds up her cup and demands "BOOZE" I can't help bursting out laughing.

Saturday:
Our first Saturday off without a scheduled event in seven weeks!  We were so lazy.  Laundry, floors, dusting...but nothing too strenuous.  Zayden and I took a nice recliner nap!
Natalee likes to make a to-do lists on her easel.  :)
In an effort to try to conserve space I bought Ameliya a used "restaurant" style high chair that will slide under our table when it's not being used.  She loves it, except Saturday morning she tried to climb in it (we think that's what she was doing) via the leg hole and got her head stuck.  Her dad considered getting the saw to get it out - it was quite stuck - but finally freed her without having to tear up the new to us chair.  Only Ameliya.

Natalee wanted to help Ameliya get dressed.  I should have videoed - it was a riot.
 Success!
My snoozing buddy...
After our nap I put him in the Ergo to vacuum and he fell asleep again!  Growing is hard!
 Sweet sweet boy.
That's a wrap, folks!  A week in our humble home.
