A Celebration {Natalee + Zayden}

A few weeks ago I got the wild hair to rent the playland at a church that is now local to us to celebrate Zayden's and Natalee's birthdays.  That is about as far as I took it until last week when I actually got a plan in place for food, friends, and fun.  LOL.  What fun is a playland without food and friends?

The kids who were there had a fun time running, planning, snacking/eating, and being loud.
I currently have a collection of dozens of super hero fashion plate drawings.

I did not do great with pictures.  Thankfully Chelsie got a few and Mom took one.

After the party, our out of town family and friends came back to the house and played for awhile.  Some were going with us to experience the Lighted Christmas Parade, so they bundled up into warmer clothes before we headed up town.  This was our first time at the parade and we didn't know what to expect.  We had a great time and learned a lot about how to enhance our experience even more next year!
The part of the parade I saw was lovely.  The weather wasn't too cold and there was a lot to take in.
William Penn's float!
Evalynn was sleeping bundled in her car seat which we had sitting snugly in the stroller for the first bit of the parade but the noise eventually woke her up so she and I had to seek refuge inside the mall so I could take her out of her seat.
After the parade we headed back to the house.  The Sniders joined us for pizza and hot chocolate.  Kea and Miguel were going to have a sleepover and worship with us the next morning, but poor Isa ended up under the weather so they went back to Lancaster for the night.  They did come back to get on jammies and have a snack.  I made hot chocolate and warmed up pizza from the party and the kids all tied in for another meal (many were too excited to eat well at the party).
The Sniders stayed and let the kids play and our children had a blast, while Mike and I enjoyed visiting with Jake and Chelsie.
We did quick baths after they left - three in the tub style for these littlest ones (how clean do they get sitting in each other's butt water really?), and headed to bed with our hearts full from the love shown to us all day.
Mike and I upgraded to a king size bed recently and put our old queen bed in the basement in the library.  It's not fancy but it's clean and warm and it's here if anyone ever wants to come visit again. {wink}
