Halloween 2018

Mike loves Halloween.  He loves the costumes and the fun and the laughter.  This year, my poor hubby had to work nights the week of Halloween.  That meant that poor mom had to fly solo.  Thankfully family and friends helped us make the most of our week and we had a fun, busy 2 days of trick or treating and partying.

Theo's town does trick or treating on Oct 30th so he invited us over so to have fun with him on Tuesday night.  Grandma and Papa came, too, so it felt like a big night with big fun!
Mia was going to be Cinderella, but when she heard Theo was Mickey Mouse, she made a quick costume change.
Their glasses.  Their friendship.  My heart.
We did trunk or treating around their square and then did one fun street before the rain turned us back.  We went back to Lance and Lauren's to play and warm up with pizza and a piece of candy, of course!

On Halloween day, a friend brought a large bag FULL of new dress up clothes for the kids.  This meant they got to change outfits for Halloween night!

Natalee had a crisis of self love Wednesday afternoon so I whipped her up a tulle skirt and fairy wings and turned her into a fairy!
She was very happy with her new costume.
Our friends, the Sniders, invited us to go to a neighboring town for Safe Stops the afternoon of Halloween.  That was fun and very calm and peaceful!  Perfect for this mom!  I saw a lot of people I knew, which was nice.
The fairy, Bumblebee, Batman, and Batgirl
After Safe Stops we jetted back home, had a sandwich, some of them changed costumes (why not!?) and then we went to trick or treat Great Grandma Betty before going to our town's Trunk or Treat.
The fairy, a beautiful princess (don't forget the word beautiful - she'll correct you), a Mikey/Raph Ninja Turtle, and a white ninja.

Great Grandma is always so grateful to see the kids.

After trunk or treat, we made two more stops....out to Nannie and Vance's to have a s'more, and then we finished out the night down at our neighbors, Tom & Paula because Xavier was certain they'd miss us if we didn't make it!  ;)

This was a busy 2 days full of my favorite things - fun, family, and friends.  Several times I exclaimed, "THIS IS MY HUSBAND'S HOLIDAY!" as I was wrestling kids into costumes or trying to keep track of them all, but overall we had a lot of fun, we didn't give ourselves sugar coma, and we now have 3 gallons of candy in the freezer (and 2 gallons sent to the office with Daddy) that I'm not sure what we're going to do with!  LOL
