Memorial Day Fishing and Fun

Papa organized a fishing day on Memorial Day Monday and Uncle Vance jumped in and helped make it a super fun day for our big kids.
When they got ready to go Natalee said she wished she had a big fishing hat.  Of course I had one from my Great Grandma Wilma that she got to wear.  She took good care of it.
They were going to fish at Papa's but then Uncle Vance offered his pond and they have been mowing it so that seemed like the easier choice.  Both babies were sleeping so I stayed home and Mike took the big kids.  Thankfully Papa had all the gear they needed because we have zero fishing gear.

 Both kids caught fish!
After fishing the kids helped Uncle Vance with the chores.  Emma is gone to ND so they had to do hers, too.  They love collecting the eggs.
And then, after all that, Uncle Vance was even willing to fillet and fry their fish and had us all for supper.  I took the potatoes, green beans and watermelon and we made an evening of it (Nannie was on her way home from ND).  The kids were dirty and exhausted which is a sure sign of a great summer day!  Thanks Papa and Vance (and Daddy) for the fun!
