Week in the Life {Thanksgiving, Christmas Decorating, Sick Mommy}

Sunday, November 22nd

Just enjoying the day with some wrestles and cuddles!

"Roar!, Daddy!!"
Evie believes her hair should get brushed every night just like Mia's.

Monday, November 23rd
Snow!!
I went to the walk-in clinic to be checked out for some vague, but persistent and disconcerting symptoms, so Mike worked from home this week while I rested.

Tuesday, November 24th
Masked snuggles.
Daddy made spaghetti and this girl polished off 3 bowls.
Evie kept sneaking to the closet to play with her Christmas present.

Wednesday, November 25th
Thanksgiving meal prep.  The girls made chocolate pie.
Tiny checking in...
The boys made green bean casserole while I was supervising pie making and then we worked through making some noodles.
My parents made a Thanksgiving cheesecake delivery to our van and left Frostys, too.  I'd been very brave about not being together for Thanksgiving until that moment.  We're so thankful for their love.

Thursday, November 26th
Happy Thanksgiving!
I got our turkey in the oven and we all watched the parade together.
Zayden watches the parade in interesting ways.
Evie got a birthday present from Nannie and Vance in the mail and it was a hit!
Everyone pitches in!
A satisfying spread for our first Thanksgiving meal.
We played chicken foot with the kids after our big afternoon meal.
And then, DESSERT!
I anticipated this being a very hard day, and it was when I dwelled on what I was missing, but when I dwelled upon what I got to have, my heart overflowed.

Friday, November 27th
Morning snuggles from these best buddies.
We rearranged furniture, cleaned, and brought up all the Christmas decorations.
But first, a long walk to exercise and burn some Thanksgiving calories.

Saturday, November 28th
Good morning, darling.
Saturday we cleaned more house (never ending!) and put up the outside Christmas decorations.
Not so helpful, Ruby.
Zayden left his cup of hot chocolate too close to the edge of the table and little Busy got ahold of it.  Daddy let her finish, and naturally I videoed, since she'd already made a mess.
She wasn't a fan of it being all gone.
Lots of reminders to just touch the ornaments with 1 finger, but even at that some make it off.  Overall she's done well and enjoyed the tree so much and it's been a joy to share the experience with her.
