11 Months Old {Ameliya}

If only February would have been a leap year month Ameliya could have *officially* turned 11 months old, but since there was no 29th day we will just have to call it good.

At 11 months old Mia is:
  • Cruising furniture like a champ.  She goes from one piece of furniture to the next with no trouble.  She's let go a couple of times and kept her balance while standing but no steps so far.
  • LOVES playing in the playroom and is even happier when the big kids include her.  Making it so they all had equal access to the downstairs playroom was one of the best things I did for their relationships with each other.

  • Loves the game chase (someone crawling after her, then reverse and she chases them).
  • Still wearing 24 month clothes and size 4 shoes.  She loves to take off her socks and most recently her shirts.  Her daddy isn't so impressed with her "off the shoulder" look she's been sporting recently.  We're working on leaving them on!
  • Loves to be outside, but doesn't particularly love her gloves and hat (where are you spring!?).
  • Loves food - and is a very serious eater.  She is currently wheat/gluten, egg, and dairy free (more about that HERE).
  • Says, "Dada, Mama, buh-bye, ni-night, nana, Bubba, and most recently, (after seeing him Saturday and Sunday) Papa.  We think she's repeated some phrases like "love you, uppy, and others."
  • Has 7 teeth and is working on others - hello sleep disturbed nights and naps.
  • Likes to look at books, taste things, empty laundry baskets, follow mom around the house, empty Natalee's bag that hangs on her kitchen chair, and explore shelves.

  • Is girly!  She pretends to put on chapstick, wears bracelets, and puts on necklaces.

  • Loves her Kira babies.  The "original" stays home always.  The new one we ordered travels with us.

  • Is still full of sugar, love, and spunkiness.
Happy 11 months, Ameliya.  I can't believe in 27 days we're celebrating your sweet first birthday!  We love you!!
