Weekly Wind Down {A Very Quiet Week!} July 24-30

This week was.....boring?  Ha.
Very quiet and still.  We didn't have many appointments.
Sunday after the rest of my homeschool mom friends headed out, I got around quickly and met my family at church.  They left Missouri early to be home for Sunday.  We were all exhausted, me from late nights, and the kids from an early morning, so we didn't stay for class.  Came home for lunch and naps for all 7 of us.

The kids did a lot of reading this week.  I did, too.
Monday I shampooed all of our old furniture and the new love seat since it had been a floor model.  Then, because I get carried away, I shampooed the area rug.  And, as I always do, even when I mop, I wonder how on earth we get things so dirty.  Life well lived.  #housesareforliving

Scribble Scrubbies before 8 a.m., because diva was a little extra on Tuesday morning.
We logged over 36 hours outdoors this week, and I think we'll be glad of it with the warmer temperatures in the forecast.
New sno cone flavors this week...Tiger's Blood, Grooving Grape, Orange Clementine...all dye free!
Tuesday evening we took the kids to choose a new back to school outfit for the first day.  I was just a bit restless and needed out plus our crock pot supper wasn't done yet.  They are starting to ask to begin school, craving our regular routine, but I'm holding out a couple more weeks.
We went to the free town movie this week, Tom and Jerry.  It was clean - pretty silly - but something different to do.
Wednesday was a nap in the hammock kind of afternoon.  I read a book while Evalynn slept for almost two hours.

Then when she woke up, her clothes were dry (from playing in the water) so she put them back on and went right back to playing!
Reading in their hammocks and relaxing quietly while Evie napped.
Our only appointment this week was hippotherapy.  The other children and I stayed outside while Natalee did her session.  After two weeks off she had to work for it this week and I was reminded how important these sessions are for her mobility.
We tried to arrange a park play date with our co-op friends after hippotherapy, but no one was able to meet us so I decided to just come back home.
Saturday was a beautiful day with family and was a great way to end the week.
