Ever make one of those mom decisions? The kind that make you say "tee hee hee, I'm the boss?"
The sun is shining today...it's 60+ degrees.
After 2 weeks of rainy, dreary weather my executive mom decision was to cut out nap time in favor of continued outdoor play. Daddy is building little girl's birthday easel in the garage...sand mud pies have been made. There's been swinging, trampoline jumping, sliding, bike riding, and running, stretching, and the filling of little lungs with fresh air. The windows are cracked to blow out the house before winter settles in around us. The clothes lines have been full of bedding all day.
Knowing it will be dark by 5:30 made it easy to say "no naps, early bed."
All that to say...if you are a schedule oriented person like I usually am GOOD for you. But just every once in awhile, don't forget to break the rules. It's often good for everyone!
