Natalee and Xavier spent the last week of July in Wisconsin serving a mission trip with our youth group. We decided to piggy back vacation off their trip and rented a house in Wisconsin so that we could explore the area and drive up to the Upper Peninsula to visit some of the great lakes.
It was weird to start out our family vacation without two of our kiddos. We drove to the Green Bay area Friday so that we would not be rushed on Saturday picking our teens up.
Mike found a fun hotel and the younger three spent the evening playing in the pool after driving all day.
We had continental breakfast Saturday morning, did a bit of shopping, and then headed to pick up our teens!
Natalee and Xavier were tired but fulfilled after a week of hard work. They each served an adult camper with special needs for the week as their counselor.
After we got them, we filled their tummies, then grocery shopped for our week before checking into our rental. Such a delight to my soul to have all our crew back together again.
We spent the evening just settling in, relaxing and reconnecting. I worked through all the teens' laundry so they'd have clean clothes for the upcoming week.
Natalee and Xavier went to bed early to recharge their bodies and the rest of us stayed up to play games for awhile.
