More Treats Than Tricks! {Halloween 2022}

Mike got slated to work Halloween night so it was mom plus this beautiful crazy crew...
The kids really wanted to do a family costume and I just couldn't get it pulled off.  In the end they all chose something that suited their personalities and I think they couldn't have been cuter.

Our beautiful leopard.  She made her own ears with only a little help from mom.

Derek Jeter the Yankees player

Cheer, the Care Bear

Harry Potter

and our beautiful butterfly

I took Evalynn's pictures first while the others were still getting ready.  After we drew whiskers on Natalee and a lightning bolt on Zayden, Evie wanted drawing on her face, too.  Just winging it, all day everyday.

We stopped first at our neighbors, Landon & Madi, trick or treated them and left baby food treats for little Lindly.  Then we headed across town and started at a trunk or treat that one of the churches puts on.  We were a smidge early but once the line began we zoomed right through.  The trunks were decorated so nicely!
We stayed in that neighborhood and walked up and down both sides of two separate streets.  Evie's legs got tired so she rode in the wagon and hollered to the kids, "just get me a candy!"  After those two streets, we loaded up to try to find some action in our own neighborhood.  The houses in our part of town are very sparse for trick or treating with lots of walking in between two with lights, but we found a couple of streets with a few houses.  We had a little time left before the 8 p.m. curfew, so we went a little south of town and finished our night on one last street before trick or treating our friends Cor and Gale to call it a night!
Then it was time to sort the loot, right!?
101 snickers, he says!
Natalee decided to look at her candy bucket another time and opted for a shower and bed since she has OT and PT to start out her November.
I let the others stay up until Daddy got home from work and Evalynn was especially overjoyed to share her haul with him.

Happy Halloween, friends.  Here's hoping yours was sweet, not scary, and full of excited smiles and the gratitude of children.
Next up.....my favorite....the month of thankfulness.
