We hatched chicks for science at the end of April. Unfortunately Ameliya had a terrible flu that she was recovering from so our attention was divided but overall it was still a good learning experience for all of us. Our incubator experienced a temperature spike on day 18, so I feel like that's why only 1/3 of our eggs hatched. We were fortunate to be able to use a program offered through our Extension Office, who provided us with the eggs and incubator for a nominal fee.
Zayden loved the chicks.
A special thank you to my friend, Lori, for saving our chicks and bringing over a proper heat lamp when the lamp I had failed and for answering many snap chats, phone calls, and texts for this egg hatcher newbie.
