MOCHIP

Andrea told me about this MOCHIP event being held at the school in Queen City on March 21st starting at 10 a.m. MOCHIP is an organization that records children's data and gives you all those records to be kept safely in the event that your child is ever abducted. They take digital photos, fingerprints, a dental bite, and record personal information and emergency contacts for your child. They retain NONE of the records, but instead give you everything on a CD. In the event, Father help me, that your child is ever taken, the CD is Amber Alert compatible. It's free and I think it'd be worth your time. I know...we live in rural MO, it's never happened here before, and we pray it never will...but if it did and you didn't take this opportunity to screen guard your child how would you feel? I have an e-mail out to one of the organizers to see if babies can attend...if so you can bet I'll be taking Miss Natalee.
I'm sure many of you heard about this because you got hand-outs at school...in the same breath some of you have toddlers not yet in school and others are homeschoolers so I thought I'd pass along the information.

We did this with Levi last year and are planning to do it again this year. Baby's can do it. Levi wasn't very old when we did it last year. It is a very worthwhile program and only takes a few minutes. They move you through very fast.

I did it this past summer with Lydia. I totally recommend it also. There were several other babies there when we went. They can't do the dental bite so they just put it in their mouths and let them gum on it. When I went the actual program didn't take long, but I had to wait in line FOREVER!!! Worth every minute of it for what you get in return.
