Week in the Life {School Groove, Rain}

Sunday, September 6th
We went down to worship outside at our old church in Missouri.  It was good to see familiar faces, even from afar, as we sat on the edges.  It was quite windy and we all felt a little beaten afterwards.
After church we went to Aunt Beth's for lunch.  We haven't had an extended family lunch in months and it was very sweet to be together.
Mike took the 4 oldest to visit at his parents while I went to Mom and Dad's to prep the camper for our upcoming camping and put Evie down for an overdue rest.  Phil and Sara had us for supper when I got back to town to meet the rest of my crew, and it was nice to visit with them.

Monday, September 7th
Monday brought a new school week and Daddy was home since it was Labor Day.  The weather was lovely and the extra set of hands at home meant a slower pace for everyone (especially Mom).
These two "traveled" to India for their Social Studies unit.
We read our Secret of the Hidden Scrolls adventure outside in the hammocks because we could!
Aunt Annette told the kids at Sunday lunch to send her a message and let her know what the secret code was!

piano practice
Playing a game before bed....treasure these moments.
Monday night brought in a rain storm and significantly lowered the temperatures.

Tuesday, September 8th
School is feeling routine and going very well for all of the kids.  We are finding our groove.
This little miss is a groove interrupter, but a fun one.  Her new birthday toy from Aunt Joanna and Uncle Pat is a big hit and she plays with it a ton.
Tuesday was rainy and cool and spent indoors.  This little quack really prefers the outdoors.
Ni night, sweetheart.

Wednesday, September 9th
Since Mike was on nights, he got to take Natalee to hippotherapy.  She did a new thing - up on her knees on Chief!
The rain continued on Wednesday....and Thursday and Friday...
The craft to go with the children's India travel week was making mosaic clay art.  We used DAS air dry clay.  Ameliya made a little dish and Zayden made a flat hanging.  Natalee and Xavier got in on the fun, too, but I guess I forgot to take pictures of them - my hands got busy with everyone working!
The children put entries in the Picture This clothing grandparents themed contest drawing.
Ameliya drew Grandma Betty.

Thursday, September 10th
Mike took off Thursday and we took all morning getting ready to go camping.  The rest of our week was spent having fun with friends camping at a nearby state park.
