Four Eyes x 5 {Ameliya}

We had a yearly eye exam for Mia and Xavier last Monday. Even with the history of the other two getting glasses young, we didn't have any significant concerns with Ameliya. Yet here we are, with another 3 year old in glasses.  She has one eye working significantly stronger than the other, which when left uncorrected may result in a lazy or turned eye.

This was Ameliya's second eye exam, but the first in which we had her do the picture chart.  She also ended up having to have her eyes dilated.
{She loved playing "eye doctor" while we waited.}

He's an old hat at this!  Four years with glasses for this guy!

We ended up getting her glasses at Wal-Mart, at a much less cost than the eye center we do our exams at.  They are cute little wire frames that can be bent back into shape easily and they put the teeny tiniest little nose pieces on for us.  {They also have a year warranty on the frames, which is great - because #threeyearolds.}  The techs have been very kind and have worked hard to get the fit just right for Miss Mia.

And just for all the cuteness...
Natalee in her first pair of glasses at just 3 days short of her 4th birthday.
Xavier is his first pair of glasses at 3 years, 3 months old.
Ameliya is 3 years, 6 months old.
Dearest Zayden...you have at best 13-15 months left of face freedom.  Enjoy 'em buddy!

Below, day 1 in glasses!
PS - Don't ask me what we pay a year in corrective eye expenses...lol.  This makes 5 of us in glasses!
