Natalee's Last Swim Meet of the Season {Fantastic Personal Gains!!}

What a great day!  Natalee had her last swim meet of the 2022-23 season on home turf.  Swim meet days are long days but this one bore fruit for our girl.  Her first event was the 50 yard free style and she beat her own personal time by 5 seconds!  Yes, Natalee!
We had a loooooong break after her first event.  We were fortunate to have both sets of grandparents come up so we had time to visit and have lunch.
Xavier also came to be her number 1 fan for the day.
After the break, Natalee took on the 50 yard breast stroke.  This is her third time swimming this particular race and both previous times she's been DQ'd (disqualified) for a stroke or kick error.  Today's goal - finish without a DQ.  AND she did it!!  So incredibly proud of her tenacity.
Pretty quickly Natalee was back around to swim the 100 yard free style.  Another accomplishment of the day was that she went off the diving block for her free style events!
She shaved a huge 17 seconds off her 100 yd free and got it under 2 minutes which is a huge milestone!
Natalee's friend, Rylee, was in her heat, and waited in the water cheering for her to come in.  Sweetest kind of friend to have.

Natalee finished the day with the very last event in the pool - a 200 yard free style relay that she swam with three other girls.  She was the final swimmer.  All the girls did great.

Since we were there for the end she got to experience the tradition of throwing the coaches in the pool (last home meet).
We are beyond thankful for our coaches and the encouragement and love they have poured into all the swimmers, including our girl.  Both are beautiful Godly women who give 150% to the team.

What a great way to end the formal season.  Natalee, we are always proud of you and tonight we're celebrating your huge successes!  Way to go!
