Homecoming Parade 2026

The last couple of years the Beeler crew has had fun participating in the Homecoming parade with our HSAP group.  I was supposed to help with that again this year, but I was recovering from being sick and Mia was on the couch with a bungled arm, so parade night looked a little different for us this year.  My dear friends and co-workers covered my duty as a parade chaperone.  Natalee walked with the high school swim team as a Senior swimmer, Zayden watched the parade with Mike, and Xavier and Evie ended up walking with HSAP.
Mia and I were so thankful Mike streamed the parade for us.  I was also grateful for the photos people shared with me.

Mia and I's view...
Thankful always for community.

Aquatic Center Grand Opening

Our family got to be a part of history in the making by taking part in the grand opening ceremonies for our YMCA's new Aquatic area.
It's been a long journey to get to this point and it was a much celebrated day.  Tip of the hat to the aquatic director, Alex, for every ounce of hard work she poured in to helping the community get to this day.

Happy 7th Birthday, Evalynn!

Our sweet Evie Lynn....what an easy girl to celebrate you are!

Evie and I made her cake and cupcakes together the day before her birthday.
After she went to bed, Daddy and I surprised her with fairy garden birthday decorations.  The next day she kept saying, "Mama, you just did so much.  Thank you."  Sweetest girl.
Party inspired by our fairy garden and wildflower bouquets, of course.

Evie picked donuts for breakfast but was too excited to eat hers.  But before breakfast, a fairy garden dress...

Evie opened some presents from us...

Had a scavenger hunt from Mia...
{with presents at the end...sweet Mia}
Mia took portraits of Evie and her babies...

...and we did her hair and waited excitedly for family to arrive to celebrate with her!

Aunt Lauren let her open her make-up and she fancied herself right up.
Love Artie's Gabby card he drew...
We had maid-rites (Evie's favorite) for lunch, she had gifts from the grandparents, aunts/uncles, and cousins, and the kids played and played.
And cake!
Which means Evie ate ice cream.  Because she really just likes the aesthetics of a cake, not the eating of it.

What a lucky lady to be so loved by so many.

After the party wound down, Evie had many things to play with and one final gift from Mom and Dad.
I want to always remember Evie's sweet hug when I tucked her into bed the night of her birthday.  She said, "thank you for such a special day, Mama."

The day after Evie's birthday was Sunday, so I took some fancy birthday pictures after we got ready for worship.

One of Evalynn's birthday gifts was a Bible bag...she was very excited because Sunday was Sunday school promotion and when you go into the 2nd grade class the church presents you with a Bible.

What a lovely weekend celebrating our girl.  Beloved by so many & precious to know.  Have a wonderful year 7, sweetheart.

Bonus picture of Evalynn in her sweet outfit from Grandma and Papa Tallman.

Evalynn Nancy, you are easy to love.  We pray your heart stays soft, your love for people stays big, and your view of the world stays innocent and beautiful.
