Mother's Day 2018

Some days they make me want to crawl under the covers and hide (#reallife) but most days I feel incredibly privileged to have this crew call me mom...
It took 83,295 shots to get one with them all looking at the camera.

Pictures are hard, yo.

Truthfully, my cup runneth over....I mean so does my brain, the laundry, our calendar, the sink, the to-do list, and the house in general, but my heart {and my life} would be empty without this crew.

Thank you to my top notch, hubby, for a spoiled day and for always picking me up when I'm drooping.  And thank you to my mom for still being a sounding board and a pick-me-up even though I'm supposed to have a handle on life by now (am I? I'm not feeling it.)....and to my mother-in-law, Sara, for always being willing to lend a hand with this wild tribe of ours.

I am certainly a blessed woman.

Theo's 2nd Birthday

We celebrated our nephew's 2nd birthday the first weekend in May.  They had beautiful weather and it was a fun day to let kids be kids.

This cool kid in his new shades on the way to the party...
At Aunt Lauren's house we get messy fast and the clothes start coming off...
Present time!

Tired babies on the way home! Zzzzz....
Two years of you blessing us, Theo.  Here's to many more!

Carnival Weekend

We planned a community carnival in town for the first weekend of May.  It was a huge success and our children had a wonderful time!

Friday Night, May 4th...
We played late and ended up eating pizza at 8:30 p.m.  Everyone else was sacked, but Xavier walked back up to the square with me for a little more fun.

Saturday, May 5th
The fun started at noon on the second day and we went up mid afternoon.  The kids couldn't wait to get there everyday and ride the rides and see what friends were there!
He's a wild cat and he loved the rides!
Face Paint!
We worked hard to get business sponsors so that all the rides were FREE all weekend long.  This let us splurge on things like face painting and treats from the concession trailer!!
He got a batman....I guess I didn't get a pic of his finished product.
We stayed until bedtime again Saturday...because how often does the carnival come to our sleepy town, truly?

Sunday, May 6th
On Sunday we had worship outside on the square.  It was a beautiful day and worship was a HUGE success!  The kids could just be kids.  The music was wonderful.  It was really a perfect experience.
The carnival opened back up after worship but we headed out of town for Theo's birthday party - we'd had plenty of opportunities for bouncing, rides, and funnel cakes.
