Movie Time

My kids, Emma, and I met Lance, Lauren, and Theo mid-way between our houses for pizza hut and to see Ferdinand in theater.
Theo's first time in the theater and Zayden's second.
So grateful for Emma's help!
The movie was very cute and we had a good time, even if the popcorn was a little (cough) dry!

Story Path

This was such a fun and easy to plan writing assignment for my kiddos!

I purchased this Story Path book and we've had some fun with it telling oral stories, but I decided to turn it into a special writing week for the big kids and their stories are too cute not to share.  The design of the book is described and shown in the kids' videos below.

Xavier has astigmatism, so I shouldn't have asked him to read sideways - I didn't think until afterwards how bad that is for his eye/mind connection!
And just like that, page by page, they wrote a WHOLE story!

Other books that are great for this type of creative writing for youngsters, that I have in my cabinet to use next, include:
(It's companion, Paint Me a Picture is awesome for inspiring a reluctant artist.)

These titles are also excellent for speech and language therapy, because they are FUN ways to get kiddos talking!
